1. Can a complete beginner join this program?
Yes. The pathway begins at A1 and progresses through A2, B1 and B2, so previous French experience is not required for the complete program.
2. Why does the program target NCLC 7?
NCLC 7 is an important threshold within Canada's Express Entry system. Under current CRS rules, candidates scoring NCLC 7 or higher in all four French abilities can qualify for additional French-language CRS points, subject to the applicable criteria.
3. Does reaching NCLC 7 guarantee permanent residence?
No. Language ability is only one component of immigration eligibility and CRS scoring. Express Entry outcomes depend on the candidate's complete profile, eligibility, applicable program requirements and invitation rounds.
4. Is TEF/TCF preparation included?
Yes. The program specification includes private one-on-one TEF/TCF coaching and two full mock exams as part of the complete package.
5. What if I already know French?
You may not need to start at A1. Learners with an existing intermediate foundation should complete a placement assessment to determine whether the NCLC 7 Advancement Accelerator is a more appropriate pathway.
